Mir Allaudin Welfare Foundation (MAWF) was launched in 2013 with the intention of providing charity and welfare to people who are unable to afford medical care. The foundation has been running a dispensary to help the underprivileged by providing them with essential medical facilities.

MAWF helps assess patients’ general health but works specifically on Hepatitis-B, Hepatitis-C, Diabetic and Asthma patients.

According to WHO’s 2019 statistics, approximately 5 to 10 million people are affected with hepatitis B and C respectively in Pakistan.

Latest figures show over 19 million people now living with diabetes in Pakistan as the numbers continue to rise (International Diabetes Federation, 2019).

The Nationreported on August 11, 2021 that round 7.5 million Pakistani adults and1 5 million children suffer from asthma and last year around 260,000 people died due to it.

Due to these alarming numbers, MAWF has chosen to treat HCV, HBV, diabetic and asthmatic patients free of cost. In Pakistan, each HCV patient has to bear almost Rs. 200,000 to cure the disease, HBV patient has to bear almost Rs. 400,000 and each diabetic patient has to bear a high cost for insulin. MAWF wishes to serve humanity by making things easily accessible for our patients.
